We have every right to invite our Muslim - Sultan replies those criticizing him for inviting Islamic cleric declared wanted for alleged terrorism

  The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, has defended the invitation of Dr Zakir Naik, an Islamic cleric who has been declared wanted for alleged terrorism, to t he 10th Sheikh Usman bin Fordiyo week.  Responding to his critics at the event on Thursday, November 2, the Sultan stated that Muslims  have the right to invite their fellow brothers for interaction. He also said that the Islamic  scholar was able to educate Muslims and non-Muslims on what Islam is all about.  He said; “Islam is one every where you go. As a Muslim, we have the right to invite fellow Muslim to interact with us. I met Dr Zakir Naik over 11 years ago. “Sokoto is happy to receive you. We are Muslims and we are proud to be one. We are working for Islam not for everybody. “We are Muslim by Allah divine will and nobody will change that. We thank Almighty Allah for making us Muslims”

President Buhari said during a joint press briefing with German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, that he had superior knowledge over his wife, the Associated Press reported. The President responded, “I don’t know which party my wife belongs to, but she belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room. “So I claim superior knowledge over her and the rest of the opposition, because in the end I have succeeded.
