JCI Bauchi City Holds March Business Meeting and General Assembly, Emphasizes Women’s Health and Leadership

Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bauchi City held its March Business Meeting and General Assembly on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Reinsurance House, Bauchi. The meeting brought together members, partners, and stakeholders to discuss key organizational updates, upcoming events, and the importance of youth leadership and community impact.

In his welcome address, JCI Bauchi City President, Akintunde Tajudeen Taiwo, emphasized the organization’s commitment to empowering young people. “Our mission is clear: to develop leaders who drive positive change. This assembly is not just a meeting—it is a platform for innovation, collaboration, and impact,” he stated.

The business session featured discussions on the JCI Nigeria February Newsletter, the Northern Frontiers Newsletter, and updates on JCI Bauchi City’s recent activities, including its collaboration with AIDCODE for a virtual panel discussion on International Women’s Day. Members also deliberated on the 2025 JCI Southern Conference, membership dues, and database updates.

A key highlight was a keynote speech by Dr. Anih Chidera Elizabeth on Accelerating Action for Women’s Health and Leadership. She emphasized the need for increased investment in women-led health initiatives and leadership training. Additionally, Mrs. Abigail Hardo Adegoke, Executive Director of Aid Connect for Development (AIDCODE) and Personality of the Month, delivered a goodwill message reinforcing her commitment to JCI’s vision.

The meeting concluded with an interactive training session on leadership and capacity building. President Akintunde Tajudeen Taiwo urged members to stay proactive, stating, “The impact we seek begins with us.”

JCI Bauchi City remains committed to driving positive change through collaboration and meaningful initiatives.
