Bauchi Governor Deepens Educational Partnership with UBEC
In a renewed effort to strengthen the education sector in Bauchi State, Governor Bala Mohammed on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Dr. Aisha Garba, in Abuja.
The governor was accompanied by the Commissioner for Education, Dr. Lawal Rimin Zayam, and the Chairman of the Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board (BASUBEB), Alhaji Adamu Duguri.
The high-level meeting focused on deepening collaboration between the state and UBEC, with discussions centered on improving infrastructure in basic education schools, enhancing teacher training programs, and expanding access to quality education across the state.
Dr. Garba applauded Governor Mohammed’s proactive leadership in the education sector, describing the visit as timely and impactful. She reiterated UBEC’s commitment to supporting Bauchi State’s education development agenda through strategic partnerships and sustained intervention.
The meeting concluded with a mutual pledge by both parties to intensify efforts aimed at boosting education delivery and learning outcomes, particularly at the basic level.
The visit is the latest in Governor Mohammed’s ongoing drive to reposition the state’s education system for greater effectiveness and inclusivity.
