JCI Bauchi City Hosts February General Assembly, Emphasizes Leadership and Sustainable Growth

JCI Bauchi City successfully held its February General Assembly on Sunday, 23rd February 2025, via Google Meet, bringing together members and stakeholders to discuss strategies for impactful leadership and sustainable growth. Themed “Leading with Impact: Strengthening Membership Engagement for Sustainable Growth,” the session underscored the importance of active membership and effective leadership in achieving long-term organizational success.

The event commenced with a welcome address by the 2025 President of JCI Bauchi City, Akintunde Tajudeen Taiwo, who emphasized the role of leadership in fostering an engaged and motivated membership base.

He stated, “True leadership is not about position or titles; it is about influence, inspiration, and impact. As JCI leaders, we must ensure that our members feel valued, engaged, and motivated to contribute to the success of this organization. Together, we will drive sustainable growth.”

A key highlight of the General Assembly was a training session facilitated by Prince Idris Zakari Aboki, Business Development Manager at PLANO Technologies Nig. Ltd. and 2015 President of JCI Bauchi City. During his session on Leadership and Membership Engagement for Sustainable Growth, he highlighted the importance of intentional leadership in strengthening organizations.

“To lead with impact, we must intentionally engage members because an organization’s strength lies in the commitment and passion of its people. As an old African proverb says, ‘If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.’ Sustainable growth happens when we walk together, build together, and grow together,” he remarked.

The session also included a networking opportunity, allowing members to share insights and forge stronger connections within the JCI community. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by President Akintunde Tajudeen Taiwo, who expressed gratitude to the trainer, executive members, and all participants for their dedication and contributions.

“On behalf of JCI Bauchi City, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to our esteemed trainer, Prince Idris Zakari Aboki, for his enlightening session, and to every member who took the time to join and contribute to today’s discussion. Leadership is a journey, and together, we will continue to make a difference. Let us remain committed, engaged, and driven towards sustainable growth,” he stated.

The February General Assembly proved to be a significant platform for reinforcing JCI Bauchi City’s commitment to leadership development and organizational growth. Members left the session inspired, armed with actionable strategies to strengthen their contributions to the organization. JCI Bauchi City remains dedicated to its mission of Developing Leaders for a Changing World.
