2025 Director of Communications, JCI Bauchi CityIn a bid to foster innovation and
equip young leaders with 21st-century skills, JCI Bauchi City, in collaboration
with JCIN Nasarawa State University, Keffi, successfully hosted a Virtual Panel
Discussion on February 22, 2025. Themed “Exploring Innovation – Empowering
and Elevating Young Leaders with 21st-Century Skills for Global Impact,”
the event provided a platform for engaging discussions on leadership, digital
transformation, and innovation.
Declaring the event open, the 2025
President of JCI Bauchi City, Tajudeen Taiwo Akintunde, emphasized the crucial
role of innovation in leadership development. He stated, “The world is
evolving rapidly, and for young leaders to remain relevant, they must embrace
innovation, develop critical skills, and leverage technology. Leadership is not
just about authority; it is about influence, impact, and the ability to drive
change.”
Panelists JCI Senator George Onuma and JCIN Amb. Shamsudeen Aderoju shared insights on transforming ideas into impactful projects, leveraging digital tools for leadership, and fostering cross-regional collaboration. They highlighted the need for resilience, adaptability, and a growth mindset in navigating the modern leadership landscape.
Key action points from the
discussion included launching a Digital Literacy Project with global impact,
setting quarterly goals for implementing leadership strategies, and investing
in emerging technologies such as AI and data analytics.
