JCI Bauchi City Holds Inspiring June General Assembly, Charts New Course for Impact and Growth
Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bauchi City hosted its highly anticipated June General Assembly and Business Meeting on Sunday, 29th June, 2025, with members, intending members, and distinguished guests joining virtually to share in a vibrant, purpose-driven gathering focused on leadership, membership growth, and sustainable impact.
With the theme “Empower. Engage.
Elevate: Strengthening JCI for Sustainable Impact,” the meeting was opened
with a warm and stirring welcome address by the 2025 President of JCI Bauchi
City, Akintunde Tajudeen Taiwo. In his remarks, he highlighted the essence of
unity, purpose, and passion within the organization:
“Today’s gathering is more than a meeting—it’s a call to action. It's a reminder that the strength of any organization lies not only in its structure but in the passion, participation, and purpose of its people. Together, we are not just strengthening JCI Bauchi City—we are shaping the future of leadership in our communities.”
The meeting featured multiple
agenda items including the presentation of the JCI Nigeria May Newsletter,
updates on local and international projects, committee reports, and recognition
of outstanding members.
“Know what you want within the
organization, set a target, have a timeline, and meet your goal. JCI is an
opportunity for growth—embrace it fully.”
Adding to the vibrant discussions, JCIN
Amb. Felix Sunday Akinyemi, 2025 President, JCI Aso, emphasized purposeful
participation:
“Some people join the organization
just for fun and later find themselves in leadership. This is an opportunity to
learn and grow. Be intentional about your journey.”
JCIN Amb. Chinelo Eze, President of
JCI Abuja Unity, also delivered encouraging words:
“I look forward to seeing many of
you at the Northern Conference next month in Abuja. Let’s continue supporting
one another across local organizations.”
JCIN Amb. Segun S. Omotosho, 2025
General Legal Counsel, JCI Nigeria, shared heartfelt remarks via message, which
was read aloud during the session. He extended his greetings and praised the
leadership of JCI Bauchi City, encouraging members to be more than just
attendees at meetings:
“I want to take a moment to
acknowledge each one of you here today. We are not just meant to attend
meetings—we are meant to engage, contribute, and provide platforms for others.
This gathering is one of those platforms, and I encourage you to use it well
and continue networking meaningfully. I hope to see you all at future JCI
engagements.”
The meeting took a deeply inspiring turn as JCI Senator Babajide Richard Ojo, 2017 JCI Nigeria President and 2022 JCI Vice President, delivered heartfelt remarks after being honoured as Personality of the Month. In a touching message, he spoke on commitment, opportunity, and legacy within the JCI movement:
“JCI is a calling. When that call
comes, you honour it because you have a lot to give and a lot to learn. I’m
truly humbled to be recognized among billions of people, and I encourage you
all—especially our intending members—to embrace every opportunity this
organization offers. It takes a team to build a local organization, not just a
president. Let’s build it together.”
He further advised members to not
limit themselves to one path within JCI, but rather embrace its
multidimensional opportunities—training, community development, business, and
more.
JCI Bauchi City continues to build
momentum in 2025 with projects like the Career Guidance Talk Show, the
International BizEdge Bootcamp Collaboration, and impactful mentorship programs
across Bauchi State. The meeting also reviewed upcoming programs for July and
emphasized timely payment of dues and database registration.
The General Assembly reinforced the
spirit of collaboration, shared vision, and purpose that defines JCI, setting
the tone for a more impactful second half of the year.
“Let us continue to empower,
engage, and elevate one another as we work towards sustainable impact in our
communities,”
President Akintunde Tajudeen Taiwo concluded.
