Junior
Chamber International (JCI) Bauchi City has officially launched its 2025
calendar with a vibrant January Business Meeting and General Assembly, held on
Sunday, 26th January 2025, at E4 Resort, Yelwa, Bauchi State. Themed “Empowering
Youths: Harnessing Technology for Growth and Community Impact,” the event
convened members, guests, and stakeholders to unveil the organization’s
strategic direction for the year, while celebrating milestones and onboarding
new members.
The gathering featured the presentation of the 2025 Plan of Action, the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected Board of Directors (BODs), and the formal induction of new members. These activities reinforced JCI Bauchi City’s mission to foster innovation, leadership, and community impact through youth development.
One of the highlights of the event was the recognition of Hassan Alhaji Hassan as the Personality of the Month for his contributions to leadership and civic engagement. In his goodwill message, he pledged unwavering support to the organization and announced his intention to revitalize the JCI Federal Polytechnic Bauchi Collegiate Chapter, which had been inactive for over a decade following a suspension of all campus-based organizations.
A
powerful training session was led by Dr. Ogadinma Nkem Ogbonna, who delivered
practical insights on how young people can leverage leadership and technology
to drive community development. His session encouraged members to think beyond
conventional approaches and embrace innovative, tech-driven solutions to
societal issues.
In
his closing remarks, Akintunde Tajudeen Taiwo, the 2025 President of JCI Bauchi
City, thanked all participants for their active engagement and support. “Your
presence and contributions have made this meeting a remarkable success,” he
said. “Together, we are charting a course toward fostering innovation,
leadership, and impactful community projects in 2025.”
The meeting also highlighted recent initiatives, including the successful execution of the “Impact a Baby with a Smile 2.0” project on January 1st, 2025; virtual training sessions for both officers and intending members; and the chapter’s participation in the Northern Officers Training School and Area Council of Presidents Meeting in Keffi, Nasarawa State. Discussions on membership growth and improved database management signaled the chapter’s intention to strengthen internal systems and expand outreach.
JCI
Bauchi City expressed sincere appreciation to its members, the media, and all
stakeholders for their unwavering support. With renewed energy and a focus on
technology and leadership, the organization is well-positioned to make 2025 a
year of remarkable community impact and sustainable growth.
