JCI Bauchi City and Alheri-YS Foundation Strengthen Cancer Awareness and Prevention
Welcoming
participants, JCI Bauchi City President, Tajudeen Taiwo Akintunde, emphasized
the importance of collective efforts in tackling cancer through education and
preventive measures. “Cancer remains one of the greatest health challenges
of our time, but through awareness and proactive screening, we can save
countless lives,” he stated.
Participants
engaged in discussions on symptoms, cost barriers, and the availability of free
screening programs. Some notable attendees included JCIN Amb. Hauwa Musa, the
2025 JCI Nigeria NVP, Northeast D2; Prince Idris Zakari Aboki, 2015 President,
JCI Bauch City, who emphasized the need for accessible medical care and
community awareness programs; and Hauwa Musa, who advocated for improved
hygiene practices to mitigate HPV risks.
In
closing, Akintunde expressed gratitude to all participants, speakers, and
volunteers. "Today’s event has been a testament to the power of
collaboration in the fight against cancer. Let us continue raising awareness
and advocating for accessible screening and vaccination programs."
