JCI Bauchi City, in partnership with the Student Union Government (SUG) of the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi (FPTB), hosted the 2025 International Human Duties Day under the theme “Our Duty to Humanity: Voices for Responsibility.” Held on 10th July, 2025 at the 510-Seater Hall, the event drew students, staff, and civic advocates together for a transformative conversation on youth responsibility.

The event featured a Human Duties Awareness Workshop and the premiere of a documentary championing ethical leadership and civic values among youth. JCI Bauchi City President, Akintunde Tajudeen Taiwo, reminded participants that “progress demands participation, and participation begins with responsibility.”

Keynote speaker and Human Duties Ambassador, Malam Hassan Alhaji Hassan, emphasized that youth must see themselves as responsible change agents. Other powerful messages came from Mrs. Abigail Adegoke and Dr. Ogadinma Ogbonna, who encouraged empathy, resilience, and civic action.

Over 100 students signed a petition pledging to uphold human duties, while institutional leaders reaffirmed support for youth-led development. The celebration advanced the JCI RISE framework and SDGs 4, 16, and 17, solidifying JCI Bauchi City’s role in promoting ethical youth leadership and community transformation.
